Wandsworth Bridge Road will be closed for first Spring Fayre in May

The Wandsworth Bridge Road Association is hosting its first Spring Fayre in May.

The event will take place on Sunday 15th May and will span from Ryecroft Street down to Narborough Street.

The event will host a number of vendors with shopping stalls, food, drink, handmade crafts and more.

Gary Fannin, organizer for the Wandsworth Bridge Road Association, said: β€˜β€˜This street fayre is our first little step in helping people reimagine this road in a new way that is not just a busy through route.’’

There will be a stage providing live entertainment with music, comedians and a jazz band.

The live music will include performances from both local talent and West End names.

Fannin added: ‘β€˜We’re quite excited, at the moment we have around 65 stall holders.’’

He hopes this Spring Fayre is hopefully the first of many as the event is important to raise awareness for businesses in Wandsworth.

There will also be collections for Ukraine on the day and they are in the process of setting up online donations.

The Wandsworth Bridge Road Association are encouraging local residents to get involved by helping to set up stalls and decorations.Β

Market traders are still able to sign up through an online form on their website.
