Rafa Benitez is still fondly loved at Anfield by the fans who he delivered a Champions League, and the Spaniard admitted he is relishing the trip back.

The Chelsea interim manager looked on as his side smashed three without reply against West London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage – including David Luiz’s superb 30-yard effort.

But the Spaniard insisted that while a return to Merseyside is good, claiming a trophy in the Europa League and securing Champions League football is far more important.

“Liverpool is my home because my family live there so I will have a lot of good memories,” he said.

“But hopefully we can take three points and after that win every game.

“We have a target, it is very clear – we will try to stay in the top three and concentrate on the Europa League.

“It is a pity we lost in the FA Cup semi-final because the team was doing well at the end.

“We have to keep focused and keep scoring goals and not conceding.”

Chelsea moved back into third in the Premier League with the win over Fulham as John Terry scored with two headers to give the Blues a comfortable win.
