In pictures: Stop Trump Coalition take over central London

Protestors marched on Parliament Square today in response to Donald Trump’s second state visit to the UK.

Thousands of people gathered to display their opposition to the US president – and a small number to show their support – as seen in our photos below.

Police officers arrive early ahead of the march. Officers were called in from across the country in anticipation of a high turnout.

A satirical protest, using papier-mâché head masks, casts a lighter note over proceedings. Bim Mason, a teacher from west Wales, made the masks himself.
“I’ve made the PDF free online, for anyone who wants it.” A protestor proudly distributes his homemade placards.
The protest was kicked off by a drum circle shortly after 1:30pm.
The Palestine Bloc led the march from its starting point near Broadcasting House.
