Police release details of man sought following fatal Fulham stabbing

Police have released a description of a man they want to talk to following the fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old-man in Fulham early this morning.

The victim, found suffering from stab wounds, was tended to by members of the public before emergency services arrived.

He received further treatment from medical professionals but, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 1am.

A murder investigation has been launched and police are urging witnesses and those with information to get in touch.

DCI Glen Lloyd, leading the investigation, said: “This murder investigation continues apace. Police work at the crime scene is ongoing. Active enquiries are in hand.

“We are appealing for information from those who were out and about in the area at the time of the attack and saw anything of note. My team is particularly keen to trace a light skinned black male, approximately 6ft tall who was seen near the scene at the time of the incident.

“Did you see him? Do you know who he is? Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts is urged to contact police.”

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service just before 12.30am this morning to Gowan Avenue, junction with Munster Road SW6.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem will take place in due course.

No arrests have been made.
