ULEZ suspended on Christmas Day

The recently expanded ULEZ scheme will be suspended on Christmas Day in travel changes.

In changes to transport available over the festive period, ULEZ will be suspended for one day as only taxi and private hire, Santander cycles, and some electric bike rentals will be available.

Therefore, those wishing to visit friends and relatives will not have to pay the £12.50 charge.

No tubes, London Overground, or buses will run.

The £15 congestion charge will also be suspended from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day as part of changes.

However, the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) charges will remain in place throughout the Christmas period.

TfL have also increased Taxi fares with an extra £4 charged per journey for journeys between 8pm on 24 December and 6am on 27 December, and 8pm on 31 December and 6am on 2 January.
