A STREATHAM Vale actress who played Boris Johnson’s PA on Eastenders was reunited with her on-screen boss the day the episode aired.
Elaine Smithers, 41, of Greyhound Terrace, bumped into Mr Johnson at the re-opening of Pollards Hill Library, Mitcham, on October 1.
She said: “I honestly didn’t think he’d remember me – it was about ten weeks ago it was filmed.
“I went up to him and reintroduced myself and he quickly realised where he knew me from!”
Mr Johnson described his time on the set as “most definitely the highest honour of my life”.
He added: “Barbara Windsor is a legend!”
