West End luxury has hit Wimbledon town as the newly refurbished Piano Bar of the New Wimbledon Theatre opens its doors for business.

The Piano Bar has been restored to its former glory to provide theatre goers with a luxurious and modern area where they can relax before enjoying their performance.

Sam Bain, General Manager of the New Wimbledon Theatre, was keen to stress on the launch night in May, that the bar brought new life to the building.

“We are very proud to be launching the Piano Bar, bringing a new level of theatrical experience to Wimbledon,” he said.

The bar echoes the Edwardian features of the stunning theatre, but with a modern twist, leaving the patron comfortable in the knowledge that an excellent evening awaits.

The exclusive drinks menu boasts an extensive selection of champagnes, wines and speciality cocktails, including Bellinis and Cosmopolitans.

Another treat for customers is the baby grand piano nestled in the corner of the bar, which will provide live music before every performance.

Patrons can enjoy the ambience during the happy hour from 6pm until 7pm before the show begins at 7:30pm.

The public also have the option of reserving their seats in the busy summer period when the sunny evenings will draw customers to the gorgeous balcony overlooking Wimbledon.

Stacey Pedder, a representative for the theatre, stressed that the new Piano Bar puts the New Wimbledon Theatre on the map with the better known West End theatres.

“It puts us up there with the big theatres as we are the eighth biggest theatre in London and we needed a luxurious bar where people could come and enjoy themselves.

“It is a really special bar and a lovely room and it deserves the attention it has received. We’ve had great comments from those who have been,” she said.

Children are welcome in the bar as there are non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails available and snacks for children’s entertainment.

Gareth Gates will perform next Thursday, 19th July in ‘Momentous Musicals’, a showcase of the West End’s most memorable musicals.
