Noise on the London Underground could be causing permanent irreversible damage to Tube users’ ears, an expert has warned.
‘Tube noise’ is a common issue reported by those using the transport network.
It is caused by mechanical noise pollution between tube stops, and is worsened because the sound cannot escape from the narrow tunnels.
