Robert Pattinson’s sister Lizzy faced a teary elimination from the X Factor on Sunday night, and is waiting to hear whether she’s been selected as a wildcard choice.
The Twilight star’s older sister Lizzy, who attended Wimbledon High School, was left devastated by failing to get through to the live shows but is waiting to see whether she’ll get a second chance.
Making it through the earlier rounds of the live auditions and boot camp, Lizzy, a songwriter from London, flew out to Simon Cowell’s LA mansion as one of the remaining six contestants in the over 25s category.
The 31-year-old admitted she was suffering from laryngitis during her performance in LA which led to her emotional elimination.
She tweeted: “Thanks for your lovely messages. I had laryngitis at judges’ houses, but did the best I could.”

Lizzy has always been reluctant to use her younger brother’s fame to boost her career despite maintaining a close relationship.
Having come through a tough sing-off in the final round of boot camp, she joined the five other acts Simon Cowell had picked to make his top six at the pop mogul’s LA pad.
The pressure undoubtedly got to the contestants as their performances were certainly not as memorable as the outfit choice by Simon’s usual sidekick, Sinitta.
Despite some underwhelming performances Simon picked Jay James, Ben Haenow and Fleur East to take through to the live finals starting on Saturday evening.
In an attempt to heighten the drama of the show, an X Factor twist revealed that all four judges have been issued with a wildcard.
This allows them to bring back one previously eliminated contestant from their category that will be announced at the beginning of Saturday’s show.
Will Lizzy get a second chance from Simon or has her singing career come to an end?
