The search continues for missing 12-year-old schoolgirl Tia Sharp as detectives sift through hours of CCTV footage for a clue to her location.

Tia, who has not gone missing before, left her grandmother’s house in New Addington, south London, to head to Croydon’s Whitgift shopping centre on Friday afternoon.

Her disappearance was reported by her family six hours later sparking a massive search through the weekend.

She had borrowed her mother’s mobile phone but left it at her grandmother’s house. She had about £10 in cash and was not carrying a travel card.

Police, who say her disappearance is out of character, have also searched woodland near her home.

She was last seen dressed in a yellow bandeau top, skinny grey jeans and black and pink Nike high-top trainers.

Tia is white, 4ft 5in and slim, and was wearing French Connection glasses.

She is known to frequent the Croydon, Mitcham and Wimbledon areas.

Anyone who has seen Tia or knows of her whereabouts should call Merton police on phone number 101, quoting reference 12MIS025216.
