Thousands of people gathered in central London on Saturday to take part in the city’s annual Pride parade.
The event began at Hyde Park Corner before making its way through Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Trafalgar Square, before finishing on Whitehall near Parliament Square.
People from across the LGBTQ+ community and their allies came together to celebrate Pride while promoting equality, inclusion and acceptance.
Among those attending were former military personnel Emma, who has been with her wife for more than 30 years, Alpha Dancers, a queer dance group and spectators who gathered to support the event from the streets of central London.
Attendees said Pride continues to provide an important opportunity to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, reflect on progress made for gay rights and highlight the importance of visibility and community.
