A craft workshop is taking place in Streatham next week to raise awareness of child hunger ahead of the 2013 G8 summit in Northern Ireland.

Crafty Pint, a local enterprise that aims to provide opportunities to meet local artists as well as inspire creativity in crafts, is hosting the evening with Save the Children and the Craftivist Collective’s I’m a Piece project.

The project has been created by 700 people all over the UK, who have hand stitched jigsaw pieces with messages to MPs asking them to work towards reducing world hunger.

Local people are invited to join the group on Wednesday June 12, to see the collection, hear about the project and add their own piece to the jigsaw.

The Railway Pub will host the event, which takes place from 7.30-10.00pm
