Hundreds of disgruntled back-to-work commuters are facing delays of up to 45 minutes due to train signalling problems.
The issues started at London Bridge after the station underwent works over the Christmas break.
Southern Rail UK has been updating commuters via its Twitter feed about which trains are affected and is advising alternative routes.

@SouthernRailUK Happy New Year. First day back in work. With any luck this train will arrive in London by 2016 (the year not the time)
