An entire cafe burst into song for a musical flash mob wedding proposal in Breads etc in Clapham last week.

The café’s customers, led by male acapella group Buzztones, serenaded the unsuspecting women with the Madness song ‘It must be love’ as she waited for her boyfriend to return to the table.

Tuxedo clad Jez Phillips, 35, of Clapham Common, returned to the table with an engagement ring and got down on one knee.

His romantic gesture was met with the required result as his girlfriend Katty Elyassi, 32, agreed to marry him amidst tears of joy.

The happy couple, who have been together for two years, have not yet set a date for the wedding but said they hope to involve the Buzztones in their special day.
