By SWLondoner staff

Scooby Doo is in Wimbledon this week with more spooky mystery and fun in a brand new stage show.

The world’s favourite mystery solving gang will embark on one of their most exotic adventures yet. Transported to ancient Egypt they face treacherous challenges while trying to uncover the mystery of Pharaoh Hatchepsout’s pyramid. Can they avoid being turned to stone by the terrifying Pharaoh? Can they steer clear of the mysterious mummies? Once again ‘those meddling kids’ save the day.

The production, titled Scooby Doo the Mystery of the Pyramid – features the signature theme song, spectacular effects and the hilarious physical comedy that entertains audiences of every age.

Eddie Arnold (Jumpy, Royal Court Theatre, Arcadia, Camden People’s Theatre) will lead the cast as Scooby Doo, accompanied by Danny Stokes (Silk, BBC, Our Day Out, Leicester Haymarket Theatre) as his comic sidekick, Shaggy.

The Mystery Inc. gang comprises: Julia Cave (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, UK Tour, Sincerely Mr Toad UK Tour) in the role of Daphne, Louise Wright (Blackout, Theatre West, The 24 Hour Plays, The Roughhouse Theatre/ Bath Theatre Royal) as Velma, and Josh Little (Dreamcoats and Petticoats, UK Tour, Footloose, European Tour) playing Fred.

The show comes to Wimbledon from May 27-29 after a tour which started on April 4 at The Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells and included 20 venues across the UK.

The show takes place in Wimbledon on Tuesday 6:30pm, Wed 2:30pm and 6:30pm, Thursday 2:30pm and 4pm. For tickets call 0844 871 7646 or visit http://www.atgtickets.com/wimbledon
