WATCH: Meet the London charity that helps people leave high control religious groups

Faith to Faithless is a support group that offers a helpline to those struggling to leave or move on from a high control religious groups.

Part of Humanists UK, a charity that promotes humanist values, Faith to Faithless also offers weekly peer support meetings, safeguarding training and panel discussions to raise awareness of the effects of cults on their members.

During their yearly Apostasy Conference, panels of experts and former members explored the psychological and social repercussions of high control religion.

The conference was open to the public and included former and current members of religious groups such as Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Jesus Army, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and more.
