Last month saw the instatement of Mayors and Lord Mayors in boroughs across London, and Charlotte Wilson spoke to the Lord Mayor of Westminster to get to know more about his upcoming tenure.

Paul Dimoldenberg, father of social media presenter Amelia, was first elected as a councillor in Westminster in 1982, and spent 15 years as leader of the opposition before Labour won the council majority in 2022.

In May he was elected as Lord Mayor of Westminster, a ceremonial and non-partisan role held over the course of the year, highlights of which include turning on the lights on the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree, and supporting chosen charities.
