REVIEW: Leeds rooftop bar impresses with new around the world menu

It is one of Leeds most prestigious bars, which sits in the heart of the city centre on the 13th floor of the Doubletree Hilton hotel.

Skylounge’s new menu is a delightful insight into a world of flavours and culture.

The bar known for its tremendous view of the city skyline and its perfect picture opportunities has vamped up its menu with a new around the world theme paying homage to various bars around the globe, and I must say, it does impress.

The menu is based on offerings from five continents with drinks from five different countries in each.

It follows with sharer cocktails, Skylounge favourites, mocktails, and wines/champagnes so there is something in there to appeal to any kind of drinker.

I visited last week and tried the Columbian special named Alquimico. It is a vodka-based cocktail, mixed with raspberry syrup, coconut water, lime, pineapple juice, Passoa and guava.

The cocktail is priced at £13 and as a student, you could imagine the shock. However, it’s not like any regular Pornstar Martini that you could just find anywhere.

The drink itself was a nice juicy blend, that really tingled my tastebuds and is definitely a new favourite of mine.

The drink is completely worth the money due to its taste and individuality and it is important to add the impeccable service provided upon entry and throughout my visit.

I would happily return again and urge all drinkers to try the new menu.
