If you’re feeling bleu and you need a bit of lactose love in January, this week is a chance to celebrate some fantastic fromages, quirky quesos, and comforting cheesy classics with National Cheese Lovers’ day.

Cheese sales are a multi-million pound industry in the UK and one of the country’s top food exports, and every January 20 cheese lovers honour the craft of cheesemaking.

Consumers are exploring new ways to enjoy cheese, and have an ever widening selection for thier cheeseboards from continental favourites to new British artisinal products.

Consumers are seeking out premium cheeses for their flavour, versatility, and increasingly, due to cheese’s nutrional value and high protein content.

We went to chat to cheese lovers at Borough market to see which cheeses were tickling tastebuds.
