Hat enthusiasts gathered outside the Tate Modern for a parade along the Thames towards Tower Bridge.
The annual London Hat Walk sees hobbyists and professional milliners, or hat makers, come together on Sunday, 10 May to show off their finest headwear.
The first organised hat walk was in Barcelona in 2014, and it has since spread to dozens of cities worldwide including Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Seoul.
This comes as London’s oldest hat shop, Lock & Co., celebrates its 350th anniversary this year.
Rebecca Gray, a professional milliner said; “These hat walks just go to show that hats make people happy.
“They’re attention-grabbing too, so you end up interacting with people you wouldn’t necessarily speak to otherwise.”
