Spider-Man’s homecoming: Tom Holland returns to Richmond

Hollywood star, Tom Holland, has bought a lavish £3million mansion in Richmond with girlfriend Zendaya, only a stone’s throw from his hometown.

After their relationship announcement went viral in September, the Spider-Man couple will now be sharing this property only four miles from Kingston upon Thames

Residents of Kingston are excited to have their friendly-neighbourhood Spider-Man return to south west London.

One local on Kingston high street said: “Once you’ve got the Spider-Man role that is it for life.

“Kingston is a boujie place, I heard Stormzy lives around here as well.”

The couple’s six bedroom mansion will be neighboured by fame icons such as Angelina Jolie, Tom Hardy and Sir Mick Jagger.

The young pair, both 25, have exciting plans to renovate the property and have planning permission to expand the basement.

Tom and the Euphoria star hope to upgrade their new home with the addition of a gym, sauna, cinema and games room.

Mollie Bourke from Ealing spotted the Hollywood couple together at a pub in Kingston.

She said: “I was sitting outside on the phone by the entrance to the beer garden when Tom Holland and Zendaya came out holding hands.

“I was completely shocked and I looked him dead in the eye and smiled and ran over to tell my boyfriend about it, I was really excited and starstruck.”

Molly, 22, has since posted a TikTok of her experience which has reached a total of 809.3K views and 76.7K likes.

She added: “I think people are very excited about the possibility of sighting them in and around London.

“I mean, why wouldn’t you, he’s Spider-Man! A very exciting and surreal encounter.”

At the Spider-Man Homecoming premier in July 2017, Holland told the Evening Standard: “I’m a London boy, born and bred, and I will be there for as long as I can.”

An employee at Kingston’s comic book shop, Piranha Comics, said that Tom Holland had visited the store before and that in his hometown, Tom is just seen as a “normal bloke”.

However, other residents are starstruck as excitement flares on Twitter:

The three-storey property, which was supposedly purchased almost 4 years ago requiring extensive remodeling before the couple could move in, is less than a mile from Tom’s family home.

In December 2021, Tom Holland said to People Magazine: “I’ve spent the last six years being so focused on my career.

“I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world.”

After Spider-Man No Way Home ranked the sixth-highest earning movie of all time, the young Richmond star will also be playing Nathan Drake in latest blockbuster Uncharted.
