Ramadan Lights return to London’s West End with new interfaith exhibition launch

Ramadan Lights were switched on in London’s West End on 13 February by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and Rahima Aziz, Trustee of the Aziz Foundation.

Crowds gathered between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square to watch the display illuminate the street celebrating Ramadan.

Aziz said: “Please come down, enjoy the lights, take photos and share with your community. Ramadan is for everyone.”

Organised by the Aziz Foundation, this marks the fourth consecutive year Ramadan Lights have illuminated London’s West End.

The launch also featured the first interfaith exhibition curated by Raheel Khan, showcasing artwork representing multiple religions.

The lights will remain on display until the end of Ramadan in March.
