The London borough of Hounslow has banned Lime bikes from operating within its borders and terminated their contract last year.
Lime bikes, initially introduced to help Londoners get around more easily, have become a divisive part of the city’s infrastructure.
Hounslow banned the bikes as it looks to enforce stricter use of designated parking bays and stop Limes clogging up pavements and walkways.
However, residents of Hounslow have claimed the ban has made the situation worse.
Those living on the boundary of the borough have found Lime bikes piled up in the streets, with residents naming these areas Checkpoint Charlie and claiming it has become significantly more difficult to get around London.
