VIDEO: First padel courts open in Sutton as part of £1 billion vision for London Cancer Hub

The first padel courts in the London borough of Sutton have opened in partnership with the London Cancer Hub.

Local schools, Royal Marsden Hospital staff, and patients receive free access to the courts at the new facility.

The facility forms part of Sutton’s £1 billion transformation into a major cancer research district, with more than 4,000 residents consulted on the plans.

Sutton’s new courts arrive amid growing interest in padel, which the Lawn Tennis Association has described as the world’s fastest-growing sport.
