See Josh Jones Live in London: ‘I Haven’t Won the Lottery So Here’s Another Tour Show’ at Leicester Square Theatre

Comedian Josh Jones irons out the final details, as he comes to Leicester Square Theatre for his live act: I Haven’t Won The Lottery So Here’s Another Tour Show.

Following his hugely successful Gobsmacked tour, the Mancunian comic is bringing relatable humour and hilarious storytelling to the capital.

Building on that success, he carries his trademark warmth in a laugh fest packed with jokes which brings an infectious energy which we can all get behind.

Jones said: “It’s the best show I’ve ever written and it’s proper funny.

“There are certain bits that really make me chuckle still and I’m really proud of it.”

His new tour is a feel-good comedy set offering an uplifting night out, and like most performers, before he goes on stage, he has rituals like everyone else.

Jones said: “One thing I do before going on stage is to take my outfit with me and iron it there because it kind of calms me down.”

With his outfit steamed and nerves soothed, be sure to see the creaseless attire as he steps out to deliver jokes about history, cats, his love of wrestling and much more.

Reflecting on his show, Jones said: “I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind about anything.

“I just want them to feel like we had a good time.”

His pre-show playlist keeps the mood light as the audience take their seats with his especially curated playlist.

The ‘Josh Jones Lottery Tour’ playlist is available to listen to on Spotify brimming with mid-2000 classics featuring Ashanti and Mary J Blige.

The playlist could even be played in a London pub as he would love a night out with Queen Camilla.

Jones said: “If I was going to go for a pint with anyone, I feel like Camilla and I could sit in a pub and share a pack of cigs and have a great time.”

As he prepares for his London dates Josh admits he loves going to the London Dungeons and enjoys all the theatre that comes with it.

Jones said: “I love anything with an actor, playing someone from the Victorian times.”

If Josh was Mayor of London, he would make all train journeys free and says his favourite Underground line is the Northern Line.

“One thing I genuinely think is quite good is the Tube.

“I think that’s the best thing about London. You can get everywhere dead quick. It’s great!”

Away from the stage Josh loves cooking and makes his own hummus, but life on the road can make it tough to stay healthy.

The keen indoor rock climber admits he’s trying to do portion control during the tour but has struggled with his Diet Coke addiction.

Jones said: “I’m trying to have less on this tour because it’s so easy to put weight on.

“So now I’ll have one Fillet-O-Fish instead of two — I’m very healthy”

Join Josh Jones as he comes to central London, you’ll want to hear his jokes in his lively northern manner and see why his performances have been so popular.

Josh Jones’ tour I Haven’t Won The Lottery So Here’s Another Tour Show will be at Leicester Square theatre on Wednesday 19th November. Tickets available from www.joshjonescomedy.com
