A delicious new addition has landed on the high street this week, as a freshly opened independent cookie shop promises to tempt the town with the warm, rich aroma of handcrafted cookies and Colombian coffee.
With its grand opening drawing a steady stream of sweet-toothed locals, Crack Cookie is already making its mark — one gooey, chocolate-loaded bite at a time.
Co-founders Mario Aleppo, Anis Hadji, Clive Achunine and Karen Toro teamed up with a world renowned pastry chef to create some highly addictive cookies focused on quality ingredients and a love for community.
This charming spot is more than just another bakery, it’s a celebration of real chocolate.
All cookies are baked in-house every single morning, using chocolate imported directly from Colombia and the Ivory Coast — renowned regions globally recognized for producing some of the finest cacao in the world.
“Everything we do here is about quality and care,” said the owners, whose vision was to bring something special and personal to the high street.
“We’re proud to be an independent business, and that means we can focus on using the best ingredients, the best coffee, and creating a spot people really want to come back to.”
The menu features six core cookie flavours, each carefully tested and perfected: classic milk chocolate, creamy white chocolate, indulgent triple chocolate, tangy red velvet, matcha and white chocolate, and a weekly rotating special to keep things exciting.
Complementing the cookie menu is a selection of freshly brewed coffee — also imported from Colombia.
Each cup is made to order, offering customers the chance to enjoy a true café experience alongside their sweet treat.
The shop’s opening hours, from 10am to 8pm seven days a week, make it a go-to spot for both early risers looking for a coffee and cookie combo, and evening strollers seeking a cozy snack before heading home.
It caters to shoppers, students, and professionals alike.
Adding to its charm, the cookie shop has proudly announced that it’s pet-friendly — a detail warmly welcomed by dog-walkers and animal lovers, with water bowls at the ready and plenty of snacks for four-legged visitors.
The team behind the counter are friendly, passionate, and eager to share recommendations or tell you more about the ingredients and baking process.
It’s this personal touch — along with the undeniably rich scent of fresh cookies — that staff prioritise to make the place feel more like a neighborhood gem than a typical chain store.
With its dedication to quality, community, and comfort, this new cookie shop is baking more than cookies — it’s baking up a new sense of warmth and sweetness on the high street.
Whether you’re in need of a midday pick-me-up or a gift for someone special, it might just be your new favorite destination.
