Symons continues audition for permanent job at Fulham by taking on leaders Norwich City

Fulham v Norwich City @ Craven Cottage

Saturday, October 18 @ 3pm

Caretaker boss Kit Symons will continue to stake his claim for the job on a permanent basis when Fulham take on top-of-the-table Norwich City at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Symons has been named on a three-man shortlist for the role along with Steve Clarke and ex-Norwich manager Chris Hughton, but will be hoping a win tomorrow – which would be his fourth in six games in charge – could push him ahead of his rivals.

The Cottagers suffered defeat before the international break going down 2-0 to Middlesbrough and things are unlikely to get any easier against a Canaries side that have only lost twice in the league all season.

Norwich boss Nigel Adams has added firepower to his team over the summer resulting in last season’s Premier League low scorers now being the Championship’s top scorers.

Cameron Jerome and Lewis Grabban, with seven and six goals respectively, have got off to excellent starts for their new club and keeping them quiet will be the main aim of the Fulham defence.

Fulham will hope that the recent return to form of Hugo Rodallega and Bryan Ruiz will continue while the club have high hopes record signing Ross McCormack can add to his two goals.

Star Man: Bryan Ruiz

Danger Man: Cameron Jerome

Last time they met: April 12th 2014 Fulham 1-0 Norwich City
