Paintballing comes home

Summary:

A new form of paintballing hits wimbledon

By Chris Madden

Extreme sports fans can now experience paintballing while at home, as demonstrated at the Ideal Home Show last weekend.

The International Paintball Group, who have a head office in Wimbledon, could be found among the hot-tubs and homes of the future at the Earls Court Event.

The UK founded company, were in their fifth appearance at the fair, and believe they offer something different to customers.

“We get a lot of business from kids who are dragged along by their parents and are like ‘Woah, paintball,’” said representative Lawrence Van Helsing.

While paintballing may not seem the obvious choice at the Ideal Home Show, IPG believe that being unique gives them an edge.

“We are an alternative backyard activity,” said Mr Van Helsing.

For those really looking for variety, the group can even build the paintball installations at your home.

While children may not be the shows primary visitors, the company does well enough out of its one-of-a-kind stand.

Having made a profit this year there is a very real chance that the company will be back next year to keep offering alternative business.

IGP is a paintballing and extreme sports promotion company, with offices in seven countries, on three continents.

Set up in the UK eight years ago they now accredited members of paintball associations in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Last year they served 250,000 people in the UK.  For more information call 0844 4 775 155 or visit www.ipgvip.com.
