Halloween Ghost Tours, Ham House

Tea fit for a Duchess – Tea Tasting Workshop, Ham House

Thursday 3rd November 1.30pm-3.00pm

Tickets: 10.00 plus normal admissions

Enjoy a Gourmet Chinese tea tasting event while hearing about the history of tea drinking in the 17th century.

Peek into the Duchess of Lauderdale’s private closet and be see one of the oldest teapots in England. There is also a one hour workshop with local Chinese Tea specialists Canton Tea Co in the Orangery. Discover exquisite quality jasmine, oolong, white and green teas, which the Duchess probably enjoyed herself.

Martin Taylor in Concert, Landmarks Arts Centre

Come and see who The Times has called “The finest British guitarist of his generation.” The world’s foremost exponent of solo jazz guitar, Martin Taylor is a master concert performer, dazzling audiences worldwide with his inimitable style. The list of great musicians that he has collaborated with include Stephane Grappelli, Chet Atkins, Bill Wyman, George Harrison, Dionne Warwick, Bryn Terfel and Jamie Cullum.

Period in Print, The Bowman Gallery

Saturday 29th October – 26th November

The exhibition will present an over-all view of “the print”, showing examples of different types such as lithographs, engravings, etchings, microcosms etc. The prints range from an 16th century engraving by Van Leydon to present day monoprints and woodcuts by contemporary artists.  Background information and brief descriptions of the processes involved are to be included, enhancing the experience.

There is also a Private View on Saturday 5th November 1pm-7pm.
