UPDATE: Missing Isle of Wight teen found at Croydon train station

UPDATE 25/11/2017, 19:50
Mia was found at Croydon train station and police are reuniting her with her family.

Mia’s sister Sorrell said: “Thank you all for your kind help and messages, our family really appreciates it.

“Please allow us to be with Mia and respect our privacy.”

The family of a missing 14-year-old girl from the Isle of Wight believe she might be in Croydon.

Mia Lupton from Ryde was last seen getting off a ferry in Southampton at 2:30pm on Friday, November 24.

The schoolgirl has not been in touch with her family, who are understandably growing increasingly concerned and say this is very out of character for Mia.

Mia’s sister Sorrell Chappellow, 20, said: “We’re not angry, we just want her to come home to us and we love her.”

Mia is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, of a slim build and has very long blonde hair, which has some pink colour in it. She was last seen wearing grey or black trousers and a black puffa-style coat.

Inspector Rob Abel of Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Mia’s safety the longer she is missing, so we would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen her, or heard from her.

“We have had a great response from the public so far, helping to share our appeal, so thank you to those who have.

“Mia, if you are reading this, please get in touch with either your family or us, so that we know that you are ok.”

It was previously believed she might be in the Birmingham area.

Anyone who has seen Mia or has any other information about where she might be, should call Hampshire Constabulary on 101 quoting 44170458126.
