A right sausage fest! Twickenham to host ‘best banger’ contest

Sausage connoisseurs can sample a variety of porky delights this weekend at the borough’s third annual ‘Best Banger’ competition.

Butchers from all over the area will once again take part in the fiercely contested competition and it will then be up to the public to decide in a ‘blind taste test’ who makes the best sausage.

The event will be held in the Diamond Jubilee Gardens in Twickenham and starts at 12pm.

Councillor Pamela Fleming, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Environment and Culture, said: “This summer Twickenham really is alive with an action packed programme of events and family fun activities.

“But there is only one sausage competition!

“Good luck to all the butchers taking part and I am sure that all the attendees will enjoy the bangers.”
