Son of Kensington MP Victoria Borwick left unconscious after ‘girl gang’ attack in Leicester Square KFC

A ‘girl gang’ beat the son of Kensington MP Victoria Borwick unconscious in Leicester square last month now the MP is calling for ‘safe havens’ on London’s streets following the attack.

Detectives are appealing for information following the assault on Tom Borwick and a female friend were assaulted on June 27 at around 10pm.

Three unknown women launched the unprovoked attack in KFC, one of the suspects punched the 27-year-old Mr Borwick in the head numerous times.

The group of women and the victims were all removed from the fast-food outlet by security staff and the altercation spilled out into the streets.

The suspects returned to the group and push the 28-year-old women to the ground, fighting off Mr Borwick’s attempts to defend her.

He was then also knocked to the floor and fell unconscious, while he lay on the pavement the women kicked him before fleeing.

Both victims suffered minor injuries and attended hospital later.

Mrs Borwick, former Deputy Mayor of London, slammed security staff around the tourist hotspot for not helping her son during the attack.

Today she urged restaurants and bars to sign up to CitySafe Havens project – which offers refuge for people in immediate danger.

Images of two of the women have been released by police. All three are black women in their 20s or 30s, one was wearing black clothing and another was wearing a royal blue dress.

The third female (not in the CCTV stills) was wearing a white dress.
