Manhunt underway after Streatham sex worker killed in Earls Court

Police have released CCTV footage of a man suspected of murdering a Streatham sex worker in Earls Court last week.

Maria Duque-Tunjano, 48, a British national originally from Colombia, was found dead in a flat in Earls Court on Friday. A post-mortem gave the cause of death as blunt trauma to the head.

A manhunt is now underway to find Robert Richard Fraser, with police saying they also want to question him over another attack in Paddington.

The woman was assaulted and robbed by a man on 18 January but was not seriously injured.

They advised members of the public not to approach Mr Fraser but said if they see him they should call 999 immediately.

He is also known as Robert Aleem and Shia Robert Jackson.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall said: “We have established that Maria was last seen alive on Tuesday, 28 January. We also understand she was in the company of a man and our primary focus is to trace him as part of this investigation.

“We have spoken toorganisations with links to those who work in the sex industry to make them aware of this incident and pass on the message that personal safety of sex workers is of paramount importance.”
