Wool ewe please pull over? Kingston police discover fundraising sheep travelling loose in car boot

Kingston police officers carrying out routine checks on vehicles were surprised to find a sheep travelling in the boot of a car over the bank holiday weekend.

When police pulled over the car at 6pm on May 3 they spoke to the owner and noticed the ewe staring back at them through the volvo’s window.

The driver sheepishly explained to officers that Amy, who fundraises for Kingston City Farm, was on her way home from a trip out.

Not only does she raise funds for a number of charities she’s also hit the small screen featuring in ITV’s Foyle’s War and a Catherine Cookson TV programme.

The driver was not causing any offence and was allowed to contin-ewe on his way.
