“We started an un-official queue,” he said on Sunday evening.

“We used to queue out on the street and you didn’t need to get here until one o’clock in the morning the day before.

“I enjoy the tennis and the atmosphere in the queue is fantastic, we’re having pizza delivered soon!”

Another hopeful, Tommy from Reading, also camped overnight on Sunday with the hope of seeing world class tennis in action.

“The queuing is not bad in the evening, it’s when they wake you up at 5am that it gets tricky!” he said.

“I think Djokovic will win. Murray has as good a chance as he will ever have, but I still think Djokovic will beat him in five sets.”
