Wandsworth Town Christmas Celebrations and Lights Ceremony

Southside Shopping Centre and All Saints Church

Saturday 3rd December, 2pm-5.30pm

Free

There will be lots of activities planned for the whole afternoon in and around Southside including:

  • Walking, talking Christmas tree along Central Mall
  • Performance of the Christmas story with a live donkey in front of Waitrose
  • Christmas Card making workshop on first floor by Waterstones

Everyone is invited to a carol service at All Saints Church from 4.30pm, with mulled wine and mince pies afterwards. The event is sponsored by Southside, Wandsworth Partnership & Wandsworth Cultural Wealth Fund and organised by the Wandsworth Town Centre Manager and Wandsworth Arts Team.


Festive Shopping Weekend at Wandsworth Museum & De Morgan Centre

Visit the shops at Wandsworth Museum (both days) and The De Morgan Centre (Saturday 3rd December only) to pick up some bargain festive goodies and stocking fillers, as both shops will be offering 20% off all books and selected gifts. The Museum stocks an extensive selection of London and local interest titles, Old Ordnance Survey maps of the borough and greeting cards, as well as children’s books and gifts.


London Santa Run in Battersea Park

Disability Snowsport UK’s most successful fundraising event is back for 2011. Put runners in fancy dress and suddenly a run around the park becomes 10 times more fun! This is definitely the case with the London Santa Run. Join 2,000 other Santa’s in this 6k charity festive fun run.

Please help us to raise funds or adaptive snowports for people with disabilities by taking part and raising as much sponsorship as you can.This year, the highest fundraiser willwin a crate of wine kindly provided by Barefoot wine. All other fundraisers raising over £250 each will win a fantastic goody bag.

Bollywood Cinderella

Just when you started to think all pantos were the same, Tara Studio come along with a twist. This is Cinders Bollywood style, transporting the rags-to-riches tale to a shoemaker’s shop in India where Cinderella slaves away, until she is asked to make a shoe fit a princess.

Hardeep Singh Kohli adds a little spice and lots of colour to the classic fairytale for a winter warmer at the Tara Studio this Christmas.
