Police release details of car involved in Twickenham hit-and-run

Police released details of the car involved in a Twickenham hit-and-run as they appealed for information from the public today.

The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Wednesday 23 January on St Margaret’s Road, and the 19-year-old victim is still in hospital but no longer in a critical condition.

Police are asking anyone with information about the car – a silver Volkswagen Golf with the registration HS04 EFR – to come forward.

The car was reportedly sighted in Wembley later the same day.

Detective Constable Imogen Grylls, of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton, said: “This incident happened during a busy time of day and we know many people will have seen the car involved.

“Although we have now spoken to many of these witnesses, we believe there are more people who may be able to assist with our investigation.”
