Tooting MP Sadiq Khan faces no further action over claims he used phone while driving

The police have announced they will take no action against Tooting MP Sadiq Khan today after he allegedly used his mobile phone while driving.

Mr Khan was reported to police by Conservative MP Justin Tomlinson back in November but Met Police deemed that after all the available material was assessed, there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Scotland Yard added that unless any additional information came to light, there would be no action taken against the shadow justice secretary.

Mr Khan had said he would fully co-operate with the investigation after the photographs were published on the Guido Fawkes website.

South West Londoner contacted Mr Khan’s office but he was unavailable for comment.
