Royal Wedding 2018: Meghan Markle wows in Givenchy dress as she marries Prince Harry

The Duchess of Sussex finally revealed what we have all been waiting for — her royal wedding dress.

British tradition met Hollywood glam in Meghan’s full length white silk gown by British designer and artistic director of Givenchy Clare Waight Keller.

One of the most important elements to any wedding is the dress and after much anticipation did Meghan make the world Say Yes to the Dress?

Michela Bruschini, manager of Paverly Bridal in Wimbledon, wasn’t so sure and feels that all wedding dresses need to reflect the personality of the bride.

Michela, 25, said: “I didn’t think it was wow.

“It is her second wedding and I think she went for the safe option and I don’t blame her.

“If it was me styling her I would have put her in an opulent dress that was fitted with a long train, a bit more funky.”

Meghan wore a demure off the shoulder, three quarter length sleeved dress accessorised with a royal statement 5m-long veil.

Michela added: “On Diana everything was over the top, Meghan had a sleek dress and her statement was in the veil being so extremely long.”

Up-close the floral design on the veil represents all 53 countries of the Commonwealth.

The bateau neckline and a loosely fitted waist showcased Meghan’s elegant style and given the history of Givenchy no wonder people were comparing her look to that of Audrey Hepburn.

The dress took hundreds of hours to make with dressmakers washing their hands every 30 minutes as to not ruin the material.

Meghan’s up do was styled by Serge Normant and in her hair she wore the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau tiara with the centerpiece made up of 10 diamonds.
