Residents invited to have their say on the future of Garratt Park

People living in Earlsfield are being encouraged to give their views on future plans for Garratt Park.

The feedback will help shape future investment plans for the small park in aim to see upgrades to the existing playground and ball games area.

Garratt Park – pictured above – currently offers play equipment for toddlers and older children plus a table tennis table, bicycle circuit and a ball games area.

This refurbishment is as an attempt to enhance the living conditions of the area by meeting the needs and wishes of the local people.

Funding for further improvements at Garratt Park, Earlsfield, could come from the Wandsworth Local Fund (WLF), which comprises money the council has levied on developers to help pay for community and neighbourhood infrastructure improvements across the borough.

Parks and open spaces spokesman Councillor Steffi Sutters said: “It already has some good facilities but we think they could be improved yet further which is why we are asking local people what they think.”

To take part in the consultation people should visit the online website on https://haveyoursay.citizenspace.com/wandsworthecs/garratt-park-18 or request a paper version by emailing [email protected].

The deadline for comments is Thursday 6th September.

Residents who want to ask questions face-to-face can also attend two drop in sessions being held near the playground next week.

These will be held on Friday 10th August and Saturday 11th August 2018, between 10am and 4pm on both days.
