Detectives are appealing for help in tracing a man they believe may be responsible for a series of sexual assaults in Clapham.
Police released CCTV images of a man who is thought to have committed three attacks over a five day period.
The latest attack happened yesterday evening when a woman in her mid-20s was attacked after getting off a train at Clapham Junction.
Detectives believe the suspect followed her from the station as she walked home, before initially approaching her in Falcon Road.
The man walked off but approached her again as she tried to enter a block flats in a nearby road.
He sexually assaulted her and fled after being disturbed by a neighbour.
Footage from the Met shows the man in St John’s Road, Clapham Junction.
The first two attacks happened in the early morning of May 11, with a woman calling police at around 2.30am to say that she was being followed by a man in Battersea High Street.
At 4am the same morning a woman in her 40s was sexually assaulted in Clapham Common North Side.
Police believe that the man had followed the woman as she walked from Clapham Junction.
In all three cases the suspect is described as a black man, aged in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing a hooded training top.
Detective Chief Inspector Mel Laremore, from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command, said: “We now believe that last night our same suspect committed another sexual assault and it is very important that we identify and speak to this man as soon as possible.
“So, I am asking for the public’s help. Do you recognise him or know where he is? If you do, please call us as soon as possible. It is possible that he may go on to offend again.
“Were you out last night around 23:00hrs and saw this man hanging around Clapham Junction station? He may have spent some time around the area prior to this.
“One line of enquiry is that he has links to this area of London, so if you live in or regularly socialise around Clapham Junction please think very carefully if you have seen him.”
DCI Laremore said that extra patrols are in place around the area.
