A group of off-duty medics who stopped to help a motorcyclist at the scene of a fatal traffic collision in Sutton are being urged to contact detectives.
Ronald James Mayers, 32, from South Croydon was killed in the collision on the A217 in Sutton on April 23.
Investigating officers are aware that a group of off-duty medics, possibly including a doctor and at least one nurse, had been travelling in the area and stopped to help the victim.
Police do not have their details and would like to speak to them about what they may have seen of the collision.
Officers were first called at around 18:45hrs on Thursday April 23 to a Transit van in collision with a motorcycle on the A127 Belmont Rise, at the junction with Northdown Road, SM2.
Officers and London’s Air Ambulance rapid response car attended the scene – the rider of the motorcycle, Mr Mayers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination held on April 27 gave cause of death as multiple injuries.
The male driver of the van stopped at the scene – he was not arrested.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Merton are investigating.
