Match Report: Burton Albion 1 Queens Park Rangers 3

Aramide Oteh marked his first QPR start with a goal to help his side defeat Burton at the Pirelli Stadium.

Despite Lloyd Dyer’s immediate response, Conor Washington and Massimo Luongo ensured QPR took a valuable three points home.

Burton remain in the bottom three while QPR move into 14th.

QPR had the best of the early stages and eventually found a breakthrough on the half hour mark.

Oteh tucked away fellow Academy product Darnell Furlong’s knockdown to give the visitors an early lead.

Yet Lloyd Dyer’s close range finish two minutes later levelled things up at the break.

QPR continued to apply pressure and were rewarded thanks to Washington.

The Northern Ireland international hit the post, but his perseverance was rewarded when he beat the goalkeeper to the ball and slotted into an unguarded net.

Three minutes from times Australian Luongo sealed the points with a smart finish.

Manager Ian Holloway recorded QPR’s first win in four matches against Burton as positivity once again started to return to the Hoops.
