Man dies from heart attack after being pulled from Thames in Kingston

A man rescued from the River Thames on Monday later died of a heart attack at Kingston Hospital, police have confirmed.

The man, who has not yet been named, was rescued from the water by officers at Kingston Bridge, shortly before 3pm.

It is believed that the man, in his 50s, was still alive after being pulled from the water but later died at hospital.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained until the facts can be established.”
