Fulham boss insists his side are improving as they look for first win of 2016

QPR v Fulham @ Loftus Road

Saturday February 13 @ 12:30

Fulham will continue their search for a win in 2016 when they make the short journey to Loftus Road to play rivals Queens Park Rangers.

The Whites are only four points above relegation zone in 19th position, but Slaviša Jokanović, who is winless in his six games in charge, insists there have been improvements to his side.

They were unfortunate not to take all three points after drawing with Derby County at Craven Cottage last Saturday when again their performance belied their position in the table.

Jokanović said: “People say, and I believe too, we are going in the right direction.”

Fulham will be without defender Tim Ream on Saturday as he misses out through illness, but elsewhere the Whites have no fresh injury concerns.

The Croatian manager insisted he is working tirelessly each day to resolve Fulham’s troubles but says it will count for nothing if they again fail to gain those elusive three points.

He added: “Everything is easier and simpler with victory, and I expect we can find a victory.

“In general, this is football, I have lost many games, but I still have won more games than I lost, we just have to keep going and be brave in all situations.”

The last time the sides met Fulham thrashed QPR 4-0 at Craven Cottage when Ross McCormack netted twice with Moussa Dembélé and Ben Pringle adding the others.
