Food fanatics will be spoilt for choice as Battersea’s St John’s Hill hosts a fabulous feast this week.

The week-long food celebration, planned by the Trader’s Association of St John’s Hill, will run from Monday 14 May to Sunday 20 May.

Foodies can expect to try dishes from around the world from African cuisine to Indian food and from fish and chips to traditional pub grub and tapas.

Participating venues on the Hill are to showcase their kitchen’s specialties, with a £15 menu during the week encouraging passerby’s to try something new.

The venues will decide what to offer for £15 and can range from afternoon tea for two to a three course set menu.

Live food and drink demos, tastings and classes will also be held on Saturday’s ‘Open Kitchen’ event on the 19th.

A mix of free and paid events are on offer with host venues introducing their cuisine, demonstrating their cooking and meeting suppliers – see below for confirmed events.

“If you’ve ever had any food based questions, join us for the Open Kitchen event,” said Steve Orme one of the owners of FishClub and Leader of the Traders Association of St John’s Hill.

“You’ll have chance to find the answers at workshops, demos and foodie activities, hosted by chefs and restaurant owners taking place throughout the day up and down the Hill.”

A mini farmers market and visiting stalls will also be available inside and outside the venues.

Bookings for the £15 menus should be made directly to the venues – but hurry as places are limited. The list of participating venues can be seen on StJohnsHill.co.uk.
