A popular children’s theatre in Wimbledon is giving families the chance to go behind the scenes later this month.

The Polka Theatre, on Wimbledon Broadway, is holding a day of free activities on Sunday June 16, including storytelling sessions, backstage tours and the chance to dress up in costumes from shows.

Children will also have the chance to meet the stars of the theatre’s critically acclaimed summer show, Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play.

“We always look forward to this opportunity to invite people to have fun exploring the hidden corners of Polka!” said Stephen Midlane, Executive Director of Polka Theatre.

“Whether you’re long-standing audience members or have never been here before, you are all welcome. We love sharing our special building with you.”

The Father’s Day event will be open from 11am-4pm, with visitors welcome to drop in at any time.
