Chelsea aiming to get title challenge back on track against Hull

Chelsea v Hull @ Stamford Bridge

Saturday December 13 @ 15.00

Chelsea will be looking to get their title challenge back on track this Saturday when they take on Steve Bruce’s Hull City at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues lost their first game of the season 2-1 at Newcastle last Saturday, and a win against Hull would prove they’re still title favourites.

They’ve defeated Hull in their last ten meetings so should be confident ahead of Saturday’s showdown.

Jose Mourinho’s side will be aiming to extend their good performance, from mid-week win against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, into Saturday’s encounter against the Tigers.

Veteran Striker Didier Drogba is pushing for a start after coming off the bench and scoring against Newcastle, and the Ivorian will be looking to add to his tally of three premier league strikes if he plays against Hull.

Hull need to stop an alarming slump in form which has seen them drop into the bottom three.

Bruce’s side has not won a league game since October 4, and they have scored only four league goals since September.

The Tigers will also be reliant upon goalkeeper Allan McGregor to stop the Chelsea strikers if they are to get anything from the game.

The Scottish keeper has saved all three of the penalties which he has faced in the league, and he is looking to become the first man ever to save four consecutive premier league penalties.
