Bottoms up! Bank holiday beer festival based along south west London’s 37 bus route

Manoeuver your way around south west London’s beer festival using only your Oyster card with an event based on the 37 bus route this bank holiday weekend.

The collaborative event combines the expertise of Clapham Junction bottle shop ‘We Brought Beer’, Clapham pub ‘The King & Co’ and Brixton microbrewery ‘London Beer Lab’ — with each of the venues conveniently connected by the 37 bus route.

Kicking off with a launch party on Friday, May 27 the festival runs through the weekend until Monday, May 30 with street food, beery brunches, BBQs and of course plenty of lagers, ales and beers to lubricate proceedings.

Anthony Gunson, owner of The King & Co, said: “There is a scene developing in south west London with ourselves, with We Brought Beer and with all these craft breweries that have popped up and we just wanted to celebrate that.”

Dedicated patrons who sample two beers from each of the three venues will be offered a complimentary bottle of festival beer specially brewed for the occasion to take away with them.

Mr Gunson said: “I think it’s a nice way to celebrate having an extra couple of days off and to support local businesses.”
